The demand for hotel rooms in State College during the weekend of the 2024 MAKEiT is extremely high this year. To help ensure attendees traveling to University Park for the MAKEiT, 50 hotel rooms have been blocked for attendees at the Hampton Inn at the rate of $199 plus fees.
*Note: MAKEiT will be held in a different location than the hotel. Attendees will have a 10-minute drive to the Business Building for MAKEiT. 
Hotel stays will only be reimbursed up to $199 plus fees for the night of March 22, 2024.

Travel Support
Teaching and Learning with Technology is encouraging faculty and staff from across the Commonwealth to attend the 2024 TLT Symposium held on March 23, 2024, at University Park. In support of this objective, TLT is offering travel assistance to those who wish to attend.
To Penn State faculty and staff from all campuses who would like to attend as either a presenter or attendee, TLT can offer:

If you live within 100 miles of the University Park Campus

  • Mileage/Fleet vehicle to/from the event

If you live over 100 miles from the University Park Campus

  • Mileage/fleet vehicle to/from the event

 

  • Limited Per diem (breakfast and lunch will be provided at the TLT Symposium)
  • Lodging for one night on March 22, 2024 (up to $199/night, plus fees)- there is a block of rooms at The Hampton Inn. See above for more information on securing a room. Please book your hotel room as early as possible as there is a basketball tournament the same weekend.
Remote faculty and staff wishing to attend: Please contact Courtney Dillon, cmd31@psu.edu to discuss if travel assistance can be provided.
 
*Note: Expenses other than the ones listed above must be submitted to your home campus for reimbursement.
 
There will not be any need for pre-approval of travel funds. Attendees must submit the proper travel reimbursement paperwork in SAP Concur within 30 days of the event for reimbursement. A step-by-step guide has been created:
